My client is a Design Consultancy who specialise mainly in Travel Retail design (ie. wall displays, gondolas, stores, counters, pop-ups etc in airports around the world). They work with very demanding luxury global fragrance & cosmetics brands as well as premium wines & sprits. Their work is concentrated on furniture and fixtures and can be seen in most airports around the world. The role is focused on getting to know and understand the brand looks and DNA of the clients they work with and applying that knowledge to allocated spaces within stores, firstly modelling and rendering in 3D and then producing detailed CAD drawings to send out to suppliers. From the outset anyone interested in the role must take on board their location in Bucks. They do operate a blended home/office working week, but for most the emphasis is working at the office. In any case, they would expect any new recruit to work at the office 5 days a week for an initial period in order to get to know the team and the work. The perfect candidate is someone with relevant industry experience and skills that match what they do. Should be degree educated with a relevant qualification like Industrial Design/Product Design/Furniture Design etc. You will also ideally need to have an interest in how things are made and go together, learning about new materials and strong technical drawing skills. They use Cinema 4D for 3D and Vectorworks for CAD. Knowledge of these would be advantageous but training would be given if needs be. They also use Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator and of course, sketches when appropriate
