Excellent hybrid working opportunity with cutting edge consultancy firm based in the West End. Looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join the team for a fifteen month FTC (likely to be extended), with an opportunity for a permanent role. Client Details Our client is an independent leading consultancy firm based in central London. With a huge portfolio of clients including some very well known brands, you will be working on some of the biggest and most exciting projects in the country. Description The main responsibilities for this Accountant role will include: Assisting the Head of Finance, Billings team on a day-to-day basis, to ensure the smooth running of payroll, monthly end process and financial reporting. Task will include: Manage the monthly outsourced payroll. Check payroll and set up salary payments on the bank Administer the Company Pension platform and settle monthly payments Assist the Head of Finance with month end closing, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations Produce monthly invoice reconciliation. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register. Run month-end reports on Sage 200 Support the Billing function - invoicing, updating, updating finance spreadsheets and client/project records and billing, cover during absence. Assist with the annual audit Set monthly Debtor Targets for the Credit Control Team. Sending out monthly Billing Forecasts to all teams and consolidate once returned. Liaise with project teams and Business support, ensuring processes are followed, completion of timesheets and ad hoc queries. Complete all Ad hoc financial analysis as required. Assisting the Finance team in other areas required. Profile The successful Accountant will have: 3+ years working in a Finance department covering Payroll and Assist with management accountancy IT literate and competent in using Microsoft Office; Outlook and Word. Intermediate on Excel Sage 200 experience will advantageous. Experience of working within a Consultancy firm will be distinct advantage. Bright personality, with a positive 'can do' attitude and ability to work as part of a team but with the ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility where necessary. Timesheet input software will be desirable Honest and trustworthy. Always maintain confidentiality and privacy. Handling sensitive matters diplomatically and discreetly. Ability to prioritise and organise own workload in an environment with multiple and conflicting demands.
