Our manufacturing client based in Dartford is seeking a Deputy Warehouse Supervisor to work with them full time. The role is offered as a permanent full-time position, working rotating shifts, Monday to Friday. Salary: £30,550 inc shift allowance Hours: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week Week one 6am to 2pm Week two 2pm to 10pm Benefits: 21 days holiday rising with service to 26 days pa + BH, free parking Excellent pension, health care and lots more Deputy Warehouse Supervisor - The main purpose of the role is to step into the Warehouse Supervisors role when they are absent from work: Assist Warehouse Supervisor with the supervision of all Warehouse activities to ensure they adhere to schedules and timeframes. Cover Warehouse Supervisor in their absence ensuring all routine tasks, meetings, responsibilities are understood and completed. Lead by example when handling all warehouse roles. Ensure any At Risk orders are brought to the attention of relevant stakeholders. Ensure there are good cross departmental communication links between the Warehouse and all other departments including Plant, Engineering, Planning & Supply Chain, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Customer Care. Assist with Warehouse related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments. As directed, contribute to continuous process improvements to optimise Warehouse performance, capacity and man hours efficiency. With Warehouse Supervisor ensure strict compliance with GMP and EHS policy. Execution of additional tasks which may from time to time be discussed with Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics Manager. Ensuring that and all staff under their direction comply with procedures, safe systems of work and report any defects or deficiencies to them. Ensuring that all activities under their controls or carried out in their areas by third parties have been risk assessed. Identifying training needs of their teams. Promoting a culture where employees feel free to raise EHS/QA concerns or ideas without fear of reprisals. Assisting in investigations of incidents and non-conformities. Ensuring that their teams are aware of health and safety hazards and environmental impacts in their areas.
