DFT Engineer

Our client, a global semiconductor company, wants to hire a DFT Engineer.

This is a full-time, permanent role with an attractive compensation package that includes a competitive base salary, generous RSUs and a hefty signing bonus.

The team is based in Santa Clara CA and working in a hybrid model.

Job Overview:

In this dynamic role, you will:

Build a robust, standardized IP release flow

Develop, integrate and release new checks into the IP QA flow. Implement

custom checks inhouse or using standard vendortool APIs.

Gatekeeper for any IP releases to ensure highest quality delivery is achieved to minimize design churn and improve productivity.

Be an excellent communicator. This role requires a lot of close collaboration with design teams, IP vendors

Work with cross-functional teams - RTL design, custom design, physical design, DFT and methodology teams to define guidelines and best-practices to follow

Develop a regression infrastructure to ensure all IPs are completely regressed

prior to release.

Develop an automated, self-service dashboard to manage release information.

Recommend design and methodology improvements to ensure our silicon has the best power, performance and area

Minimum Qualifications:

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Five years of experience in collateral generation, release and validation - either in a design or CAD role

Expertise in industry-standard validation tools

Proficiency in at least one of the following scripting languages - Tcl, Perl and Python

Preferred Qualifications:

MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Ten years of hands-on experience in IP development, release and validation for high performance designs - either in a design or CAD role

Well versed with various views that constitute a hard-IP (Verilog, LEF, GDS, LIB, etc.)

Deep expertise in industry-standard validation tools (CrossCheck, LEC, ESP-CV)

Proven track record of managing and regressing collaterals

High level of proficiency in Python. TCL/Perl knowledge will be good

Experience in Custom Flow development or support will be a plus

Database management and dashboarding experience will be a plus
