This is a home based role with some work in the office and going out in the East London area visiting clients. Supporting the E-Business Programme to meet project milestones and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role will advise and support small medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to adopt good e-business and digital practice and techniques. This support is available to eligible SMEs from some of the East London boroughs. Main duties: Deliver project outputs and milestones as shown in the delivery profile for this role Conduct both business and individual training needs analysis leading to the production of detailed training plans at organisational and individual levels. Meet SMEs on a one to one basis to assist them progress actions from their Digital Business Plan. These meetings will be a mix of online, in person and may occasionally take place at a client s premises Assist SMEs to implement digital technology to support their growth, which can relate to websites and Search Engine Optimisation, effective use of social media, client relationship management (CRM) and information security etc Complete project documentation, ensuring forms are completed accurately and client signatures obtained as required; Assist SME owners to identify training on the programme which will address digital skills gaps in their organisation Create content and deliver digital skills webinar/seminars and taster sessions for the programme Work closely with the designated Business Adviser to ensure delivery of a co-ordinated service to the SME Requirements: A relevant e-business, digital marketing, web development, cyber security, coding or programming qualification at Level 3 or above Experience as a digital adviser to SMEs for a period of 2 years or more, to demonstrate a good understanding of the needs of this business sector Experience of delivering training across Adult Education, Apprenticeship or Commercial funding lines and align SME business needs to the relevant accredited and non-accredited training opportunities An up to date knowledge of e-business, digital marketing and selling, web platforms, SEO and cyber security practices and experience in explaining the benefits and use to non-technical individuals Experience of delivering workshops/seminars/webinars/presentations / training to groups and individuals Understanding of the difficulties SMEs are facing as a result of COVID19, particularly with owners under- represented in business i.e. women, BAME and disabled entrepreneurs Paul Feldman is the National Skills Agency Data Protection Officer.
