Director of Sales - LATAM Portfolio
£60,000 - £65,000 Base + Uncapped Commission
Globally respected market leading events business seeks a highly accomplished director of sales to lead on their LATAM portfolio, selling high value sponsorship and managing a small team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to take the commercial lead for our client's leading portfolio of events in the Latin American energy sector.
The role is to work closely with the LATAM team (production, delegate sales and marketing) on the Latin America &Caribbean portfolio of events. The role will include, taking responsibility and accountability as the commercial lead,selling sponsorship packages, and overseeing the delegate sales team to ensure revenue targets are met.
Take revenue accountability.
Develop, present, implement, monitor and deliver a strategic, and measurable sales plan for each event to ensure delivery of revenue goals.
Identify, assess and implement new revenue streams.
Lead, mentor, inspire and support a team of delegate sales managers and other sales resources to sell and promote products and services optimally.
Fully engage with and leverage the features of SalesForce, Pardot and other systems to maximise return and demonstrate team effort and efficacy.
Set, monitor, evaluate and report on performance targets using SalesForce and ensure that all business SalesForce
Ensure outbound sales effort and volumes and face-to-face meeting are met, both personally and across the sales team.
Work with the marketing team to ensure marketing strategy is aligned with the event's commercial objectives.
Work closely with the producer to ensure the content of the agendas have commercial value.
Lead by example - deliver personal sales targets across the events, as well as account managing key clients.
Profile of Candidate
Must have an excellent track record of selling sponsorship in the Latin America region.
Fluent in Spanish is a must. Fluent in Portuguese is highly advantageous.
Proactive and problem solving attitude.
Solid Salesforce use and reporting skills.
Excellent communication skills: The right candidate will be confident, creative and be able to tailor their approach to 'the room', both with clients and stakeholders.
Outgoing individual, with excellent social skills, who are used to dealing with a broad range of people at every level will be able to make the best of this opportunity.
A hunger to reach and exceed sales targets with a positive, 'can do' approach to work will deliver rewards.
Self-starting, self-motivated, pro-active and comfortable with taking responsibility and work on own initiative toachieve personal targets.
Excellent team player.
Must be available to travel with the team to help deliver the events.
Must be willing to travel on business development trips
