Equality Business Coordinator Salary: Band 6 Hours: 37.5h (job share and reduced hours will be considered) On behalf of our public sector client, we are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to work in partnership with client organisations to oversee the continued review and implementation of their equality schemes, and to provide professional support and guidance with regards to Equality Screening and Equality Impact Assessments (Equality Proofing). Responsibilities - To provide expert advice to key decision-makers across the organisation and externally on compliance and promotion of best practice - Carry out all work relating to equality screening or equality impact assessing of policies/decisions - Statutory reporting - Development of eLearning and online learning - Monitor, evaluate and report on business activity and performance - Research, collate and prepare reports, reviews, and briefs internally and externally - Coordinate the organisation of meetings and events - Lead on and oversee the web-based presentation of the unit - Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders - Manage staff, including: - Reviewing the performance of staff - Maintain staff relationships and morale - Take such action in disciplinary matters in accordance with relevant procedures / policy General Responsibilities - Supporting the mission and vision of the organisation - Providing a caring, courteous, and respectful service to clients - Complying with no smoking policy - Managing workload - Developing themes for focused events - Identifying relevant staff/speakers - Convening and chairing meetings - Ensuring all relevant preparations are made - Oversee administrative support for the unit Organisations values - Respect for staff and customers - Accountability in how we deliver our services - Transparency, openness, and trust - Partnership and collaboration with our stakeholders and customers - Professionalism and expertise Criteria- Degree / recognised Professional qualification AND - At least 2 year s relevant experience to include - designing, delivering, and reviewing training - paper and report writing - collecting, analysing and interpreting data (quantitative and qualitative) from a range of sources - providing expert advice on policy- and decision-making and review - coordinating meetings or events involving a range of individuals - communication i. communicating complex information effectively ii. communicating with a range of stakeholders OR - Have worked for at least 5 years in an office environment with relevant experience as listed above
