The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are working currently with a not for profit organisation in the Scottish Borders in the recruitment of an interim Human Resources Assistant. The role reports into the Head of People and is forecast to be for approximately 3 months. The vacancy has arisen due to a member of the HR team retiring and the head of people taking the opportunity to restructure the department. The Responsibilities The purpose of this role is to contribute towards the smooth and efficient running of the HR team by providing high quality, proactive HR administrative services to the team. You will be ensuring that best practices are maintained within the function and that statutory and regulatory obligations are achieved. On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following; Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure the smooth running of People processes. Undertake HR administrative activities in all aspects of the HR service to support compliance with legislation, policies and procedures. Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure the smooth running of People processes. Provide statistics and reports as required, including any statutory returns, ensuring they are accurate and timely. Maintain and update all related HR documentation, systems and guidance, ensuring all customers have access to accurate information. The Requirements We are seeking a candidate who is available immediately and who is locally based in the Scottish Borders (ideally Galashiels/Hawick region), who has some HR Administration experience. Applicants will be working with stakeholders throughout the business so excellent communication skills are essential. You will be working within a team, however you will be expected to take the initiative to complete tasks independently.
