As Operations Project Manager, you provide the impetus to manage and implement an industry-leading approach to processes. In doing so, you will significantly improve our clients corporate goals by effectively coordinating the end-to-end delivery of large-scale logistical projects. This will involve you overseeing technical teams; taking ownership of your appointed projects; managing internal and external stakeholders across the projects and delivering change across a wide network of infrastructure. Reporting to the senior management team, this is your opportunity to demonstrate excellence in the planning and coordination of our ambitious projects.

What will you be doing?

  • Taking responsibility for the preparation and completion of large-scale projects and various sub-projects, providing transparency on the project progress, and maintaining the correct organisation of any relevant documentation throughout
  • Identifying and managing any potential risks and issues to ensure the success of the project and providing accurate reports to all relevant stakeholders
  • Delivering effective leadership to the project team and taking appropriate action where performance deviates from the agreed procedures
  • Monitoring project finances within budgets and managing any variances
  • Identifying any sustainable improvements and ensuring current environmental projects are correctly implemented

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum two years of experience managing small to large projects (£250k to £2M) end-to-end and an in-depth grasp of the life cycle phases of a project
  • A motivated team player with the ability to work independently, show initiative, and is willing to travel on project-related business
  • Adept at influencing others, including stakeholders and colleagues across a wide range of departments and levels of the business
  • You have successfully completed a degree or relevant qualifications in this field
  • Familiarity and proven experience with project management software such as MS Project, Agile, Office 365

Skills that will benefit you in this role:

  • Confident in articulating approaches, concepts, and solutions in day-to-day situations or in presentations to people at all levels of the business
  • Comfortable delivering trade-offs with stakeholders within time constraints.
  • You have a suitable grasp of similar operations, as well as a conceptual and structured way of thinking
